We can all pretty much expect cross gen versions of games from now going forward. Based on preorders alone, devs must see the potential. Anyone buying a next gen console obviously wants games for it so they WILL sell.
I know I will wait for a ps4 Dark Souls 2 game. The upgraded graphics and fps is defiantly worth it. Besides, nothing can be worse than the wait from the announcement of ps4 to Nov 15th, anyway. Nothing.
Exactly. I spend 60 bucks on a new title. I look at this as I have a 60 dollar budget for micros. If the game sucks I'm not out anything.
I think its great. I always watch videos and read reviews on games but you just never know until you play it for yourself. If it sucks you're out the money and pissed. F2P is awesome because I can play the actual game at no cost and see if I like it. If its cool then I figure I have 60 dollar microtrans budget since that what I would have paid for a full game.
That's a lot of goodies to buy and I doubt I would spend that much.

From the sounds of it I'm in the minority here. I for one am getting ps4 day 1 and not looking back. Any current gen new release will most likely be released on next gen too, so I don't know why I would by the lesser version. Now, I say this because I have no backlog of games. Actually, I'm pretty sure you can. When killzone 3 demo came out for Europe or that weird afganisan glitch early release thing, I created an account and downloaded it. Then I switched to my USA account and played it.
Welcome to the winning team. If you haven't yet gone through the back catalog I highly recommend the infamous series. Uncharted of course and little big planet. That game is really awesome. Oh, heavy rain was fantastic, too.

Man, this sucks. I was going to buy digital since my ps3 laser has been acting up on me. I'm just doing everything I can to keep it alive til Nov 15th. I have fans on it, I play soft music when its sleeping and I dust everyday.
I'm scared if I buy retail copy disc that I'll kill my precious before I beat the game or nov15th. But I always have bad luck with this stuff. If I buy digital I will be one of those poor souls who has massive issues with pop ins.

I agree AC 3 was pretty bad. That said, I really liked the naval battles. So, if Black Flag focuses heavily on naval battles and hunting AND gets rid of the lame ass escort/chase missions and goes back to, you know, assassinating people then it could turn out great.
